Two years later, sometimes in 2015 The MIT Media Lab MIT Campus, Cambridge, MA
After years of unsuccessful attempts at raising capital for x23 in New York, Bob decided to try his luck in Silicon Valley. He packed his bag and took a one-way ticket to Palo Alto. 2 years later, his success has become the talk of the town: He has raised millions of dollars in funding and he even started his own VC firm, running both a startup and a fund. He is now a self-made millionaire who shares his knowledge with younger entrepreneurs and VCs.
Today he is invited to speak at MIT about his journey and to share some advice with the community. Bob gets serious love from MIT, both as a donor and an alumnus, so when he shows up on campus, people take note. More than 500 alumni entrepreneurs came from as far as Alabama to hear his story and personal advice.
Never one to follow traditions and always staying true to his contrarian nature, Bob has decided to make things more interesting by replacing the traditional lecture format with a spoken word session on entrepreneurship advice: instead of boring the audience with a dry speech, he will read the first five entries of his diary.
